Overview

In this role, you will be part of the team that is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a national data platform. Specifically, your role is to implement back-end services that will enable the exchange of data in an efficient, scalable, and secure manner. This will require tenacity to solve software limitations as well as flexible working hours to deal with operation issues.

Responsibilities

  1. Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and business units to understand business requirements, develop new features, and meet delivery expectations
  2. Build scalable microservices that are efficient, stable, and secure
  3. Code in compliance with teams’ coding standards and perform code reviews
  4. Analyze and solve bugs as well as serve operation issues

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
  2. Experience in microservice architecture and REST APIs
  3. Experience in engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, data structures, CI/CD, developing highly scalable applications, security and algorithms
  4. Fundamental know-how of one or more modern javascript based frameworks
  5. Expert understanding of Python
  6. Git source control management
  7. Hands-on skills working with data pipelines using SQL and No-SQL databases
  8. Ability to communicate effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English and Thai

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Knowledge of Agile software development process
  2. Experience developing both batch and real-time data ETL pipelines is a plus
  3. Experience in container technologies like Docker / Kubernetes is a plus
  4. Experience working with cloud services and infrastructures as well as CI/CD tools
  5. Hands-on experience implementing software that is deployed in a production environment
