Responsibilities

  1. Database Administration & Data Warehouse Management: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex data warehouse environments for Healthcare clients. Manage relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL) to ensure stability, scalability, and optimal performance for Healthcare transaction processing and reporting.
  2. Data Integration & ETL Management: Oversee ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, ensuring the accurate and efficient integration of large-scale Healthcare data into data warehouses. Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure high-quality, reliable data for reporting and analytics.
  3. Performance Tuning & Optimization: Proactively monitor and tune the performance of data warehouses, ensuring optimal response times for Healthcare analytics. Implement index optimization, query optimization, and other performance-tuning techniques to ensure seamless data processing for Healthcare decision-making.
  4. Data Backup, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability: Design and manage backup strategies, disaster recovery solutions, and high availability setups for data warehouse systems, ensuring that Healthcare data is always protected and recoverable in the event of system failure.
  5. Project Management: Lead data warehouse and analytics projects from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet Healthcare industry standards. Coordinate with internal teams and vendors, managing timelines, resources, and client communications.
  6. Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation and team management, ensuring the data warehouse team is staffed effectively. Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and ensuring continuous professional development.
  7. Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate with internal and external team ex. software developer, DevOps, Software Engineer, IT team and other related team, provide technical leadership to database team and mentoring junior.
  8. Client Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering guidance on data architecture, data security best practices, performance optimization, and regulatory compliance. Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term satisfaction and ongoing business opportunities.
  9. Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, data models, ETL processes, security configurations, and disaster recovery plans. Ensure that documentation meets the Health care compliance standards and is kept up-to-date..

Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineer, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field. Certifications such as Oracle Database Administrator (OCA/OCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, PostgreSQL Certified: EDB Postgres Advanced Server Associate Certification , EDB Professional Certification
  2. Experience: 2+ years of experience in data warehouse management, database administration, and data analytics, particularly within the Healthcare. Experience working with Healthcare data systems and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  3. Technical Skills:
  4. Expertise in relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL) and data warehousing technologies.
  5. Proficiency in SQL, database query optimization, and performance tuning for Healthcare data processing.
  6. Strong knowledge of ETL processes, Data pipeline and tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Pentaho, Apache Airflow, Data Factory, ODI, SSIS) for Healthcare data integration.
  7. Experience with cloud-based database and data warehouse solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure SQL).
  8. Familiarity with data governance, data quality management, and regulatory compliance requirements in Healthcare.
  9. IT Risk Management: Strong understanding of IT risk management principles, with experience identifying and mitigating security risks in Healthcare database and data warehouse environments.
  10. Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex data warehouse projects, including resource planning, timeline management, and stakeholder communication. Experience managing Healthcare data projects that require strict adherence to compliance and security standards.
  11. Resource Management: Effective in managing team resources, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring projects are adequately staffed and delivered successfully.
  12. Client-Facing Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, non-technical language for clients, and build strong, trusting relationships.
