Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive user research to understand the needs, preferences, and pain points of healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, administrators) and patients who utilize the health information exchange platform.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and domain experts, to define and prioritize UI/UX requirements based on user research findings.
Design intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring a consistent and seamless user experience across the platform.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups to communicate design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders and end-users.
Employ usability testing and user feedback to iterate on designs and make data-driven improvements that enhance the overall usability and accessibility of the platform.
Develop and maintain design guidelines, style guides, and design patterns to ensure a cohesive and standardized UI/UX across the platform.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI/UX design and healthcare technology to continuously improve the platform’s user experience.
Champion user-centered design principles within the organization and advocate for the importance of UX research and design in achieving business goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, UX Design, or a related field.
Proven experience (X years) in conducting user research and applying UX design principles to create exceptional digital experiences, preferably within the healthcare domain.
Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
Strong portfolio showcasing previous UI/UX research and design work, including examples of user research, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.
Solid understanding of user-centered design processes, usability principles, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
Experience with usability testing methodologies, user interviews, and other UX research techniques.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to balance creativity with a data-driven approach, making design decisions based on both user feedback and business objectives.
Knowledge of healthcare data privacy regulations (HIPAA) and the ability to design within compliance guidelines is a plus.
