Senior DevOps Engineer Manager (Health Information Exchange Platform)

You will join the technical team responsible for Health Link, a national health information exchange. Health Link allows doctors to access patient data from hospitals nationwide via its web application, as well as provides the digital foundation necessary for enabling health data analytics, telemedicine, and predictive care for all.
Job Summary:
We provide a secure and efficient platform for the exchange of health information between healthcare providers and patients. Our platform runs on bare metal virtual machines and we are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer Manager to join our team and help us optimize our DevOps practices.
The Senior DevOps Engineer Manager will be responsible for managing a team of DevOps engineers and driving the development and implementation of our DevOps strategy for our health information exchange platform. The ideal candidate will have experience with managing teams and implementing DevOps practices, as well as a strong technical background in software development, automation, and infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of DevOps engineers and provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to team members.
- Develop and implement the company’s DevOps strategy for our health information exchange platform, including automation, continuous integration and delivery, infrastructure management, and monitoring and alerting on bare metal virtual machines.
- Ensure that the company’s DevOps practices are aligned with industry best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Work with the IT team to manage and ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
- Manage the deployment of applications to production and provide support for production systems.
- Monitor and analyze system performance while improving efficiency and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps and make recommendations for process improvements and technology adoption.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7+/5+ years of experience in software development and DevOps.
- Experience managing teams of DevOps engineers and driving DevOps transformation initiatives.
- Strong technical background in automation, infrastructure management.
- Experience with modern DevOps tools and technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Experience with healthcare industry standards and regulations is a plus.
